Initial salary range of $35,645 to $42,774 depending on education and experience.

Associate Vice President - Chief Business Officer
Valid Arizona driver's license
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of higher education principles and mission desirable.
- Associate degree and three years administrative or supervisor experience.
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified or complete certification within 12 months of date of hire.
- Provides advice, guidance and counsel to students concerning academic endeavors such as registration, course selection, scholarships, financial aid, graduation and career goals.
- Participates in student recruiting programs/activities.
- Prepares class lists; school notifications.
- Directs and assists with registration activities.
- Determines, with the agreement of the Division Dean/Director, classes and schedules classes each semester, which includes locating sites and scheduling equipment.
- Communicates with instructors regarding all aspects of classes, students and materials.
- Evaluates and handles student requests, or refers to proper district level authority.
- Performs duties for placement testing as required.
- Contacts Division Deans/Directors with possibilities for instructors, initiates certification process and follows up on certification and payroll activities.
- Provides orientation for new instructors.
- Supervises staff assigned to the site.
- Notifies the administration regarding difficulties with students, faculty or public relations.
- Observes classes and refers problems to Division Deans/Directors.
- Schedules/supervises daily operation as to staffing, A/V, class operations, courier and materials preparation.
- Attend campus-wide meetings and task forces.
- Researches complaints from students, faculty and community and responds to District personnel.
- Meets and greets public, including assisting students or prospective students.
- Responsible for cash deposits and accounts received.
- Maintains inventory of office and custodial supplies.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Directs on-line computer activities.
- Updates computer listings, as necessary.
- Requests maintenance and repair of physical facilities
- Makes public appearances to promote the college and provide public information
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications; basic bookkeeping; basic office equipment and sound oral and written communication skills especially as it relates to the interpretation of policies and procedures. Management and/or supervisory skills. Ability to interact effectively and positively with students, staff and public. Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment. Ability to read and comprehend the English language sufficiently in order to understand and create written and verbal information.
