SEI Classes: If you need to meet the Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement requirements for teachers, then NPC has what you need! NPC is an Arizona Department of Education Approved Course Provider. The SEI course, which provides the required content for endorsement, is offered independently and may be taken outside of a program of study. EDU 280 - Introduction to SEI, Augmented (3 Credits) - Emphasis on understanding English Language Learners (ELL) in the K-12 classroom. Covers the history, culture, theory, methods, and an introduction to both the English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards and the Arizona English Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA).

Educational Technology 3.0 (EDU 286) is a 3-credit, full-semester course. A technology literacy course for current and future educators in K-12 settings and postsecondary education. This course emphasizes skill development and familiarity with e-learning tools, online educational resources, instructional design, distance learning, and educational technology standards. Knowledge and skills will be assessed through discussions, hands-on projects, and digital portfolios. This course may not be offered every semester, check the class schedule search for course offerings and the academic calendar for semester start/end dates. New students will need to complete an NPC application form.

POS Classes: If you need teacher certification classes for the Arizona Constitution and Government (POS 221 • 1 Credit) and/or the U.S. Constitution (POS 222 • 1 Credit) courses meet the requirements of Arizona and US History for those seeking Arizona state teacher certification. These courses pay special attention to the operations of state and local governments and focus on the philosophical and historical roots of the Arizona and US Constitutions. You may register at any time for either of these online courses while working at your own pace. Courses must be completed within one year of registering.

Your enrollment confirmation email from the NPC Records & Registration - Admissions Office will have the information you need to log-in to MyNPC, find your POS class(es), and access your Moodle account that contains specific course instructions and a syllabus.
NOTE: Submission of the online course registration for POS 221 & 222 does NOT guarantee enrollment in these classes. Only a confirmation email will let you know when you are officially enrolled.
