Formal Sessions for Classes
- Help your students know their way around the information maze.
- Start the information literacy process with a tour and description of materials and services.
- The session will be more meaningful to your students if there is time for faculty consultation with library staff and an explanation of assignments
- Notice is required in advance so that staff is available.
- Use the Faculty Request for Orientation Tours & Instructional Sessions. This will give you an idea of options within the orientation session. Currently the library is offering five options.
- Obtain the Request form online, print and deliver to the library OR call the library. Please give library staff five days to plan the event and arrange for staff scheduling.
Informal Sessions for Students
- Students can always ask library staff for assistance.
- Frequently staff is busy and cannot devote 45-60 minutes to one student though.
