NPC Friends & Family awards over $100,000 in scholarships and grants every semester. During our general application cycles each semester, a single application places you into consideration for over 40 different scholarships. We have awards for students in every program and every location at NPC. Generally, 65% of students who submit complete applications receive an award in the range of $500 to $1500.

You will need the following to complete your application:
• Your FAFSA Submission Summary PAGES 1 & 2, showing your Student Aid Index (SAI) or a letter from NPC's Financial Aid Office documenting your eligibility for federal financial aid. You can complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and access your Submission Summary at: www.studentaid.gov
• Your unofficial transcripts. Either from your high school or from NPC. NPC transcripts can be accessed and printed from MyNPC. Please use a computer, not a mobile device, when accessing your NPC transcripts to ensure all needed information will be displayed. Students without a transcript can submit a degree audit/plan (see an academic advisor).
• Two references.Contact information for two people who will write you letters of recommendation. Name & Email address. (Not all scholarships require recommendation letters.)
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
To apply for an NPC Friends and Family Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a degree plan on file at NPC.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and NPC Financial Aid File.
- Be enrolled in at least 6 credits at NPC during the award semester (exception: the Endfield ECD scholarship only requires 3 credits).
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 (most scholarships require at least a 2.5 GPA).
- Have a high school diploma or GED® (CCP students and graduating high school seniors may apply).
- Be in good financial standing with NPC.
- Meet tribal membership requirements for designated scholarships.

AndyVon Academic Scholarship | Award Amount: $1,100 - Opens Oct & March
AndyVon Academic Scholarship Award Amount: $1,065
This scholarship was established by anonymous donors, AndyVon, to support students from Federally Recognized Tribes who are enrolled at NPC in any program or major. The award amount is adjusted annually to reflect changes in inflation. Selection is based solely on the general application. Single-semester award.
NOTE: Awardee must write a letter of thanks to “Dear AndyVon”, and email it to npcff@npc.edu, before funds are disbursed to awardee. Scholarship recipients may reapply for this award in subsequent academic years.
AndyVon Baccalaureate Bound Scholarship | Award Amount: $3,300 - Opens March
AndyVon Baccalaureate Bound Scholarship This scholarship was established by anonymous donors, AndyVon, to support members of Federally Recognized Tribes who have completed an associate degree at NPC during the academic year preceding the award and are now pursuing a baccalaureate degree, either at NPC or at another accredited institution. The award amount is adjusted annually to account for inflation. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation from NPC faculty members. Prior to the disbursement of funds, recipients must provide a photograph, a letter of appreciation to the donors, and documentation confirming full-time enrollment in a baccalaureate program. $1,650 is awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.

This scholarship was established for graduates of Snowflake High School by the friends and family of Dr. Arvin Palmer, former Vice President of Northland Pioneer College, in memory of his life and in recognition of his enduring commitment to education and community service. $500 is awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.
Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) Scholarship | Award Amount: $2,000 - Opens March
Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) Scholarship This scholarship is designated for students enrolled in six or more credits in Northland Pioneer College's Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) program. $1,000 is awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.

The Charles E. Lisitizky Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Charles E. Lisitizky, a longtime resident of Holbrook, Arizona, and a dedicated advocate for lifelong learning. This scholarship was created to support NPC students who are members of a Federally Recognized Indian Tribe as they pursue their college degrees. Single-semester award.
Claude Millet Endfield ECD Scholarship | Award Amount: $1,000 - Opens Oct & March
Claude Millet Endfield Early Childhood Development Scholarship Award Amount: $1,000
Established by the friends of Claude Endfield to honor her long career and her service and devotion to NPC Early Childhood Education students and young children across Northern Arizona. $500 is awarded in the first semester, with the second semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress. This scholarship requires a minimum enrollment of 3 credits per semester.

This scholarship is presented in loving memory of Corky Elikann by her family. Awarded to two graduating high school seniors from Alchesay High School, one young man and one young woman, who will be attending NPC in the fall semester following graduation. - $1000 awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.

One scholarship to a student at each campus/center every semester. This award is for students who are receiving the Federal Pell grant and can demonstrate financial need. Single-semester award.
Gene Schaechterle Memorial Scholarship | Award Amount: $1,000 - Opens March
Gene Schaechterle Memorial Scholarship Award Amount: $1,000
This scholarship for CTE students is provided by the family of Gene Schaechterle and honors his legacy of practical education. Gene served in the US Air Force, rising to the rank of Chief Master Sargeant and continued to train young auto mechanics even after his retirement. $500 awarded in the fall semester with a spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.
Golden Eagle Scholarship | Award Amount: $2,000 - Opens March
Golden Eagle Scholarship Award Amount: $2,000
This scholarship was established by former Executive Director of NPC Friends and Family Betsyann Wilson and her husband Ed, commemorating her retirement and honoring her years of service and dedication to Northland Pioneer College. Every year, the award honors a different Golden Eagle alumnus, public servant, or loved one. The 2026-2027 Golden Eagle Scholarship honors Mr. Frank Lucero, long-time member of the NPC District Governing Board and community leader from Holbrook, AZ. $1,000 awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.
Jean Elizabeth Nursing Scholarship | Award Amount: $2,500 - Opens March
Jean Elizabeth Nursing Scholarship Award Amount: $2,500
This scholarship was established by husband and wife, Scott and Jennifer, each the child of an incredible nurse, in memory of their mothers' careers of care and healing. It provides funding for a member of a Federally Recognized Indian Tribe enrolled in the NPC Nursing Program. $1,250 awarded in the fall semester with a spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.

The Joanne Thompson Memorial Scholarship was established by the Cedar Hills Senior Center in loving memory of one of its founders, Joanne Thompson, a fiercely independent, talented, and capable “pioneer” lady. $1,000 awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.
- This scholarship is awarded to an NPC full-time student who is a resident of the Cedar Hills area: Old Woodruff Road and Snowflake/Taylor city limits to the west, and Highway 180A. Concho/Concho Valley limits to the east; Aztec Road to the south, and Woodruff/Hay Hollow Roads to the north.
- Two letters of recommendation must be provided as prompted in AwardSpring. One recommendation is required from a high school or college instructor and one from a recommender of the applicant’s choice.

This scholarship is presented by KGJ Roofing as their way of giving back to the White Mountain Community! Leg Up Scholarship | Award Amount: $1,000 - Opens Oct & March

This NPC Friends & Family scholarship prioritizes need and is awarded to a student from each location every semester. Single-semester award.
- You must have CURRENT written proof from the NPC Financial Aid Office that you are NOT eligible to receive the Federal PELL grant. Please request and obtain this proof (financial aid denial letter) and upload it in place of your FAFSA Submission Summary in AwardSpring.
- If you are unable to complete the FAFSA, due to circumstances beyond your control, please contact Jesse Reeck at 928-532-6145 before submitting your application.

This scholarship was established by the family of Mary “Kay” Smith Lindy in memory of her lifelong career as a nurse, including many years on the Navajo Nation. Michael T. Mariner Memorial Scholarship Award Amount: $1,000
The proud family of Michael T. Mariner established this memorial scholarship to a student in CIS or another computer-related degree. Michael T. Mariner was a 1985 graduate of Northland Pioneer College with an Associate of Applied Science in Business/Computer Science. He received a Special Commendation Award during graduation for his commitment and persistence to successfully reach his educational goal. He was admired for his courage and willingness to apply humor regardless of his limitations. $500 awarded in the fall semester, with the spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.

This scholarship is established by Shannon Newman, in loving memory of her husband, William Newman, and her daughter, Fiona Kim Newman. This scholarship is presented to an NPC-bound graduating senior from each of Blue Ridge, Show Low, and Snowflake high schools by The House Restaurant of Show Low to give back to our White Mountain Communities! $1,100 awarded in the fall semester, with a spring-semester award based on continued satisfactory academic progress.
- Three graduating high school seniors who will be attending NPC in the fall semester following graduation will be awarded per year: One from Blue Ridge, one from Show Low, and one from Snowflake High School.
- Two letters of recommendation must be submitted as directed in AwardSpring. One recommendation is required from a high school or college instructor and one from a recommender of the applicant’s choice.
