The Locally Grown exhibit at NPC's Talon Gallery on the Show Low campus is showcasing an impressive collection of artwork from students and community members across Navajo and Apache counties now through Dec. 5! The exhibit celebrates local talent and creativity. Stop by and see this incredible celebration of our community's artistic spirit! You’re also welcome to join us on Friday, Dec. 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for an artist reception, where you’ll also get to see the award announcements for first, second, and third place.
Each year, Locally Grown is juried by a different professional artist. This year’s juror is Heather Spontak, a ceramic artist with a BFA from East Tennessee State University. For the past 5 years, she’s been traveling the western United States in a camper with her mobile pottery studio. Drawing inspiration from the subtle beauty of everyday life, she creates intricately hand-carved ceramic pieces that highlight delicate details and natural forms. The Talon Gallery is in the Aspen Center on NPC's Show Low, White Mountain Campus at 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on weekends and college holidays.
