If you want to get, keep, or advance in a job that requires you to have national certification, or are ready to set yourself up for success by earning your High School Equivalency diploma (GED®), Northland Pioneer College (NPC) offers computerized testing opportunities to students as well as the general public.
NPC’s Show Low and Holbrook locations are certified testing sites for PearsonVue, administrators for the High School Equivalency (GED®) test, and one of the world’s largest providers of computerized certification testing.
“By partnering with PearsonVue, we offer exams for the Arizona Educators Proficiency Assessment, the national Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), and technology certification exams for CompTIA, CISCO, Adobe, Microsoft, and Apple. Just about every exam available through PearsonVue can be taken at the NPC testing sites,” said NPC Testing Services Manager Tony Rhineheart. “Testing services are for the benefit of our students and the local communities.”
High School Equivalency (GED®) testing is available through NPC in person at either the Holbrook or Show Low campus. The test includes a four-part series that can be taken all at once or in individual components. The test costs $164, or individual modules can be taken for $41 each. Arizona also requires completers to pass the Arizona Civics Test for an additional $9.00 fee.
For those with work-related knowledge and skills, NPC also offers College Level Examination Program (CLEP) testing, which allows successful completers to earn college credit for experience and expertise they may have earned outside of the classroom. CLEP is accepted by 2,900 colleges and universities and can help save students money and time when completing a college degree program.
For questions about NPC’s computerized testing services, or to schedule an appointment, contact NPC’s Testing Center at (928) 536-6211 ext. 6275 or go online to www.npc.edu/testing-center.
