Northland Pioneer College (NPC) recognized nursing graduates from the White Mountain, Show Low campus in a ceremony held Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Snowflake, AZ, Calvary Chapel. These brilliant new nurses are excited to fulfill their passion for healing others. Family, friends, NPC administration, and staff were on hand to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of these students who have successfully completed the rigorous program.
NPC President Dr. Von Lawson delivered the ceremony’s keynote address. He told the audience, “These new nurses are truly angels on earth.” He explained, “Nurses have this light about them. They provide comfort during the darkest of times, when people are ill, when people are near their transition to the Lord. Nurses are the ones who hold hands and wipe eyes.” Addressing the students, he said, “You are the ones who are going to be there for your patients; be their advocates and provide understanding. You will represent them. You will be that light for them, providing them with empowerment.” He continued, “You will be the voice they don’t have. I know you all have that light because you have uncompromising compassion. Be the light for those around you and spread that light to your patients.”
Congratulations to the Show Low nursing class of 2025!
