Initial salary range of $41,063 to $49,275 depending on education and experience.

Reports to the Department Chair for Early Childhood, within the Arts and Science Division.

Valid driver's license.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation, including driving and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
Master’s degree in Early Childhood;
Five years of experience teaching adults in a higher education setting;
Five years of experience teaching in, or administering, an early childhood program; previous grant coordination experience
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field with a minimum of 18 credits in early childhood; Ability to obtain “Instructor Status” with the Arizona Early Childhood Registry;
Two years teaching experience with adults;
Three years of experience working directly with, or on behalf of children birth-five.
The primary responsibilities of the position are to lead three learning collaboratives focused on developmentally effective instructional practices, early literacy, and transition to school as well as provide one on one coaching to participants.
- Provide technical assistance to participants through a learning collaborative model of peer to peer learning.
- Assist in securing venues and coordinating schedules with internal and external partners
- Plan the learning session schedules
- Deliver learning sessions
- Deliver individualized coaching to assist in practical application of learning
- Monitor and evaluate program change
- Provide effective stewardship of grant project funds.
- Foster supportive, adult learning environments that encourage trust and relationship building.
- Assist with recruitment efforts in local communities to ensure target service units are met.
- Coordinate all learning collaborative and coaching activities under the direction of the Early Childhood Department Chair
- Represent the college and department (not just the grant) at community events and meetings, including FTF partner meetings.
- Maintain accurate student records and comply with Registrar Office deadlines.
- Participate in college and early childhood department functions.
- Collaborate with other learning collaborative leaders and grant partners regularly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to teach adults; knowledge of child development - specifically early literacy, developmentally effective early childhood curriculum, STEM in early childhood, and transition to kindergarten; knowledge of culturally responsive teaching and learning; the ability to use technology including computers, distance learning technology, video conferencing, and recording equipment; ability to establish sound pedagogy and cooperative working relationships in a diverse, multi-cultural environments; and ability to travel long distances. Weekend and evening hours are required.
