Manager of Financial Aid Operations
Valid Arizona driver's license
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of Jenzabar Student Information System.
- Associate degree with two years applicable experience.
- Knowledge of financial aid application processes, sources, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership for implementing, updating, and maintaining Financial Aid Office software, Department of Education software: EdConnect and EDExpress.
- Develop proficiency with systems and technology and act as primary trainer of office staff for document imaging, verification, and financial aid processing software.
- Collaborate with Manager of Financial Aid Operations to ensure adequate user roles, responsibilities, privileges, and tasks, recommending changes to assignments as needed.
- Compile financial aid software training materials and provide system training for users.
- Determine student financial aid eligibility and act as a resource to answer staff questions about eligibility, awarding, and disbursement of student aid.
- Work closely with Information Services (IS) to coordinate the adoption and usage of financial aid software tools.
- Responsible for maintaining system access, permission, workflows, and related functionality for the department.
- Interpret federal regulations and ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulations related to electronic data exchange transaction processing.
- Generate disbursements, authorizations and reconciliation of financial aid funds through Common Origination and Disbursement (COD).
- Monitor students through National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), EDExpress, G5, COD and FAA Access to CPS Online: Submit ISIR Corrections, process Return to Title IV (R2T4), overpayment, etc.
- Prepare transactions, balance, and summary reports.
- Reconcile financial aid funds with Business Office.
- Monitor data integrity, governance, and usage for office software and recommend changes as needed.
- Maintain financial aid information on the NPC webpage and MyNPC sites.
- Monitoring of student progress in technical aspects of the financial aid process.
- Supervise office staff in the absence of a manager.
- Perform computer trouble shooting for office.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; Office management, workflow procedural skills, ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Ability to work closely with others. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel. Understand, interpret, and apply experience with federal, state, institutional and private student financial aid rules and regulations. Must have strong skills in preparing, implementing, and providing training on system software(s) utilized by the financial aid department. Ability to read and comprehend the English language sufficiently in order to understand written and verbal information. Supervision skills required.
