Initial salary range of $13.63 to $16.51 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Accounting Manager
Valid Arizona driver's license
- Associate degree and a minimum of three years general computerized accounts payable experience or equivalent years of experience.
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures.
- Ability to perform mathematical computation to analyze and reconcile accounts.
- Audits documents to ensure mathematical accuracy of extensions and footings, propriety of account distribution, budget capacity, authorization, and propriety of expense of vendor invoices and check requests, journal entries, expense transfers and travel requests.
- Compares terms, prices and quantities on vendor invoices to the purchase order or receiving report.
- Contacts departments or vendors if discrepancies or errors are discovered.
- Inputs data on vendor invoices and checks requests, balancing and check generation and submission.
- Data entry of expense transactions and subsequent balancing and recording including vendor statements and delinquent invoices.
- Answers inquiries and provides information to internal and external customers.
- Stays informed regarding appropriate federal and state rules and regulations and applies accordingly.
- Prepares monthly state sales/use tax reports.
- Prepares and issues annual 1099 MISC forms to federal and state governments and payee.
- Makes fiscal year and closing entries related to accounts payable.
- Creates and distributes Board reports of payments.
- Receives requisitions for payments and purchases and distributes to the appropriate department.
- Serves as a backup for auditing travel reimbursements.
- Maintains and updates Accounts Payable guidelines for the Business Office. Maintains log of issued checks.
- Answers telephones and serves as backup for student cashiering and credit card payments.
- Monthly credit card analysis.
- Annual unclaimed property report.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Able to perform office management and work-flow procedures of fund accounting and accounts payable, analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, maintain accurate records. Ability to operate standard office equipment and use applicable software applications. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under time constraints, manage priorities, and meet deadlines and goals. Ability to work in a diverse and multi-cultural environment. Ability to read and comprehend the English language sufficiently in order to understand written and verbal information.
