Associate Dean of Education & College and Career Preparation
Valid Arizona driver's license
- College degree.
- Tutoring or teaching experience.
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of 50 or more college-level, general education courses including at least 3 credits each of the college English and Math; word processing and data entry proficiency.
- Take lead responsibility for collecting and inputting data for AE grant for your assigned campus/center or site.
- Answer inquiries about High School Equivalency requirements.
- Inform students about placement, registration and developmental courses; convey a positive message.
- Recommend and administer CCP assessments.
- Forward data to CCP staff and Academic Advisors.
- Data entry using Google Docs and Arizona’s Educational Database.
- Initiate and manage student portfolios.
- Work with Associate Dean/Data Analyst on program reports.
- Provide student access to CCP and Writing Center.
- Guide individual students in the writing process.
- Encourage student writing center usage.
- Maintain activity log and prepare summary reports.
- Tutor students.
- Request and document equipment repairs.
- Maintain security of lab and its contents.
- Keep inventory of equipment and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. College-level proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to work effectively with a variety of student and staff personalities and abilities. Ability to maintain a positive, pleasant demeanor during stressful situations. Ability to work persistently and cohesively with staff college-wide to collect accurate data on time. Ability to make needed external contacts to gather follow up data. Proficiency with word processor, data base and spread sheet software and internet. Ability to multi-task, and move quickly and easily from one task to another. Strong organizational skills necessary.
