Create a quilt this fall in a six-week noncredit workshop at Northland Pioneer College’s Snowflake/Taylor, Silver Creek Campus. The class will meet weekly on Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from October 19 through November 23 at the campus learning center. There is a $120 fee for the class.
Instructor Diana Anderson, former president of the Card Tricks Quilters Chapter of the Arizona Quilters Guild, will guide you through quilting basics, including measuring, cutting, designing, selecting colors, and constructing a variety of quilt blocks, as well as adding sashing and borders. You will learn the skills necessary to make a basic quilt. By the conclusion of the course, you will have created a nine-block quilt top. Traditional quilting techniques and various quilting terms will also be explained.
