Welcome to NPC Purchasing
Purchasing is responsible for purchasing and contracting for all equipment, materials, supplies and services necessary for the operation of the College. It must accomplish these objectives within the framework of the Uniform System of Accounting and Financial Reporting for Arizona Community College Districts, and District Governing Board Policies.
This page contains a list of any currently open requests for proposals (RFPs) and invitation for bids. NPC college procedure requires that purchases of equipment, materials, supplies and services that have an estimated cost of $50,000 or more require sealed bids, competitive proposals or cooperative purchasing agreements to be utilized. Bids and proposals that have a cost of $50,000 or more require District Governing Board approval before the award. NPC's chief business officer ensures compliance with all state and college bid processes.

Please Note:Northland Pioneer College is NOT tax exempt, nor is it classified as a "nonprofit." NPC is classified as a "taxable political subdivision" of the State of Arizona. When a purchase does not have sales tax applied, the state of Arizona requires the college to pay a "use tax."

Material Disposition/Surplus Property
Northland Pioneer College works diligently to reassign surplus property to other schools and departments within our district. Occasionally, unused or obsolete items are disposed of using the methods described in the Arizona Administrative Code, R7-2-1131 Material Management and Disposition of the Arizona Administrative Code including the use of internet-based online sales.
Northland Pioneer College utilizes the Public Surplus website to conduct all sales of surplus property. Potential buyers can use the Vendor Registration link above.
Items are listed for a period of not less than 14 days for each internet-based auction; during this period, individuals may submit offers to purchase the specified materials.
