Northland Pioneer College (NPC) Promise Program
Northland Pioneer College Promise Program is designed to help students overcome the real-life financial barriers that can stand in the way of completing a college education. While tuition assistance is important, many students face additional challenges such as transportation costs, childcare, and everyday living expenses. The NPC Promise Program provides targeted scholarship support to help eligible students stay enrolled, make steady academic progress, and reach the finish line. By prioritizing students with demonstrated financial need and strong commitment to their education, the Promise Program invests in student success, access, and persistence—because at NPC, your goals matter, and we’re here to help you achieve them.
Promise Program Prioritization Guidelines
NPC’s Promise Program guidelines are aimed at supporting students who have financial needs beyond tuition and fees such as transportation, childcare, and other living expenses that may be a barrier to their education.
Base Eligibility for Promise Program Funds:
- Be income-eligible for Pell funds (this does not imply that student is receiving funds, just that they are income eligible)
- GPA of 2.0 minimum
- Enrolled at least half-time (6 credit minimum)
Base Award will be $1500, with an additional $500 for students pursuing BA/BAS/BAM
If you believe you meet the eligibility criteria and could benefit from additional financial support to continue your education, we encourage you to apply for the NPC Promise Program Scholarship.
