AZ Ahead is a unique collaboration between Northern Arizona University (NAU) and Northland Pioneer College (NPC) to support you throughout your college journey.

The Summer Bridge program is for 2025 high school graduates in the White Mountains interested in attending NPC in the fall. It will be held on the White Mountain Campus, Show Low NPC, from July 14th to 18th, running daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except Thursday, July 17th, when the program will go to Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff Campus.
The program allows students to build essential academic, personal, and social skills before starting college, ensuring they build a community before attending college in Fall 2025. There is no cost associated with this program. DOWNLOAD FLYER

The AZ Ahead program is designed to advance postsecondary educational attainment by increasing college retention, persistence, and baccalaureate degree completion rates of students. This is a comprehensive effort to support community college students with direct scholarship funding and services to help students persist and graduate from NPC and ultimately transfer to NAU.
Program Eligibility:
- Recent high school, online, home-schooled, OR GED completion (within the past year)
- High School GPA 2.0 or Higher
- First-time full time student at NPC
- Enrolled in 12 credit hours or more
- Completed FAFSA
- A resident of Mohave, Coconino, Navajo or Apache County
- Interested in obtaining a baccalaureate degree from NAU
- Degree or Certificate seeking
Scholarships & Financial Aid
As an AZ Ahead program participant, students can receive a scholarship of $1,000 per semester at Northland Pioneer College for up to four semesters (if continuing requirements are met). When you transfer to NAU as a full-time student, you may also be eligible to receive the 2NAU scholarship (up to $4,000), and the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship or the Jacks Transfer Award (up to $8,000 for Flagstaff campus students).Program Highlights:
