Adjunct Faculty Openings
Northland Pioneer College has the following Adjunct Faculty opportunities currently available.
- Medical Office Administration: Building a pool of adjunct faculty to teach as needed for the Medical Office Administration program. Opportunities include live and remote teaching options. A bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience in the medical industry or an Associate’s in Nursing with 8+ years of experience is required with preferred experience in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Patient Care, Medical Coding, and Insurance & Billing.
- Construction Technology: Current opportunities in Whiteriver and Vernon (additional locations in the future). Requires an associate degree + 3 years experience; or a general contractor’s license + 5 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Information Systems: Building a pool of adjunct faculty to teach as needed (micro-credentials, short-term classes, substitutes, etc.). Opportunities in the Winslow/Holbrook area or the Show Low/Snowflake area require a bachelor’s degree; or an associate degree + 3 years experience; or CompTIA / other certification(s) + 5 years experience. Online teaching opportunities require a master’s degree in a related field.
- Lead Adjunct Fire Science Academy Instructor: The current opening is located at the Northern Arizona Training Center (NATC) in Snowflake. Candidates must possess FF I & II Certified - NFPA 1001 National Accredited) and Instructor I - NFPA 1041 Certificate. Experience in instructing a fire academy with NFPA 1001 requirements and familiarity with the AzCFSE skills. Will be working with the support of Fire Science Faculty at Northland Pioneer College (NPC). ADMINISTRATIVE OPENINGS
Director of Total Rewards: The Director of Total Rewards reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and oversees the day-to-day management of a team of up to four, assigns work, sets direction, and plans and implements programs that meet campus needs and align with college strategic priorities. The role actively engages in collaborative initiatives and projects both internally and externally, partnering closely with campus leadership, fellow Human Resources Directors, and various stakeholders. Providing expert guidance and interpretation of policies to campus constituents, the Director also manages open enrollment, oversees benefits, and handles new employee enrollment processes. Additionally, responsibilities encompass managing benefit vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Oversight of collaborative efforts with campus stakeholders to review and enhance programs and services is also central to the role. Acting as an internal catalyst for change, the Director fosters collaboration and implements innovative best practices, processes, and systems to address evolving business needs while maintaining market competitiveness.
