Initial salary range of $44,964 to $53,957 depending on education and experience.

Director of Financial Services/Controller.

- CPA, CMA CGFM or CPFO designation.
- Higher Education accounting experience.
- Federal and State grant management knowledge and experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or business;
- Five years of progressive accounting experience.
- Three years’ in government accounting experience.
- Three years of supervisory experience.
- Strong working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Excel & Word.
Assist with administration of accounting and financial reporting operations including, general accounting, cashiering, accounts payable and receivable, capital assets, financial reconciliations & analysis, and the annual audits. Supervise the accounts payable staff.
- Assist with all accounting operations for the college.

- Assist in preparing the comprehensive annual financial report, including financial statements, statistical data, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation of accounting analysis and management reports.
- Assist in completing year end closing in the enterprise software system.
- Assist in development and maintenance of written accounting guidelines.
- Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and communicate changes with users on a periodic basis.
- Maintain accounting tables, fiscal calendar, chart of accounts and other maintenance needs in the enterprise software system.
- Analyze, audit, and verify transactions, both automated and non-automated, within various funds.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, coordinates with campus/center personnel to resolve errors.
- Prepare, review, approve and/or post journal entries.
- Prepare, review and/or approve vendor requisitions for payments.
- Monitor operating cash balance and recommend liquidation of investments.
- Coordinate with bank on transactions such as positive pay, stop payments, and check clearance.
- Serve as an alternate to review accounts payable, student refunds and payroll check runs for accuracy.
- Research accounting issues and determine proper handling of transaction.
- Interpret accounting data, prepare reconciliations, analyze reports, and recommend action to be taken.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
