Initial salary range of $12.91 to $15.79 per hour depending on education and experience.

Reports to the Manager of Financial Aid Operations
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required verification document upon hire.
Valid driver's license.
- Associate’s Degree and one year of financial aid processing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of financial aid application processes, sources, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience with Jenzabar administrative software, Campus Logic, PowerFAIDS, EdExpress, NSLDS, and COD.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills:
- Office management, workflow procedural skills,
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform simple accounting procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Records maintenance skills.
- Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Database management skills.
- Knowledge of financial aid policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.

Assists students and parents regarding the financial aid process, and provides information on available programs, procedures, and eligibility requirements. Reviews financial aid applications and related documentation for compliance with eligibility requirements. Provides assistance to students and parents in the completion of financial aid applications. Processes all scholarships types and Federal Work Study.
- Reviews, verifies, and assesses applications and supporting documents in accordance with established guidelines to determine financial aid eligibility.
- Interacts with students and/or families to follow up on missing or deficient information; relays and discusses status of application.
- Provides information to students and families regarding the options for obtaining financial aid, the process for requesting aid, and the eligibility requirements for receiving and maintaining aid.
- Responds to inquiries, researches, and resolves problems related to financial aid offers handled by the financial aid office.
- Determine student eligibility, process, and monitor eligible students for institutional, tribal, or private scholarships.
- Processes and accounts for scholarship checks, tribal checks, and/or other types of financial aid offers (SEOG and LEAP); monitors expenditure to budget and, as appropriate, reconciles ledgers.
- Processes and accounts for Federal Work Study program; monitors expenditure to budget and, as appropriate, reconciles ledgers.
- Certify documents for tribal, state and local entities.
- Process and monitor activities of students in the Federal Work Study Program.
- Assist in monitoring student’s satisfactory academic progress and processing Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals.
- Respond to academic calendar of financial aid activities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist Financial Aid Specialists, Technical Advisor, Manager of Financial Aid Operations, and Director of Enrollment Services with financial aid information and services.
- Assist in training and support of Federal Work Study student’s and Call Center personnel.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
