Have you ever wanted to decorate your own cakes, or take your skills to the next level?
Instructor Linda Anderson will be sharing the basics in Beginning Cake Decorating four-session noncredit classes on Tuesdays, February 5 through 26, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Northland Pioneer College’s Snowflake/Taylor Campus, 1611 S. Main St., and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Show Low Campus, 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs. There is a $60 fee for the class. The instructor will provide a list of additional supplies to bring at the first class session.
All skill levels are welcome. Beginners will learn buttercream frosting techniques, tips on baking at our high altitude, proper coloring, frosting borders, how to create basic flowers, and how to apply basket weaving designs or grass. You’ll have plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice and leave class with a new confidence in your cake decorating skills.
Anderson will also be teaching a Mom & Me: Cupcake Decorating class on Friday, April 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Show Low Campus. The class costs $15, plus a $5 fee for supplies.
