SHOW LOW — Maximize your chance to win a government contract for your small business by applying the techniques acquired at a HUBZone and Women-Owned Certification Workshop on Monday, June 25, from 8 a.m. to Noon, at the Small Business Development Center on Northland Pioneer College’s Show Low – White Mountain Campus, 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs.

Lori Haozous with the Arizona Procurement Technical Assistance Center (AzPTAC) will explain how to market your certification as a HUBZone or women-owned enterprise, how to partner with an existing HUBZone company, and how to maintain your certifications. She will explore the differences between economically disadvantaged and women-owned businesses; the procedures for third-party or self-certification; and the Small Business Administration eligibility examinations.
After the workshop, you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the procurement specialist to discuss your specific small business needs. Local SBDC consultants will also be available.
Haozous has been advising small businesses on various certification programs, conducting procurement training for AzPTAC for the past 12 years. She previously worked at Native PTAC, assisting native businesses and tribal enterprises.
