Sealed bids will be received by Northland Pioneer College until Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. local time, for Aspen Center HVAC Removal and Replacement, Northland Pioneer College, Aspen Center on the White Mountain Campus, Show Low, Arizona.
Bids must be received at the Northland Pioneer College Administrative Services Office, 2251 E. Navajo Boulevard, Holbrook, Arizona 86025
Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis. Bids shall acknowledge that Bidder has received all Addenda that are published during the bid period.
Bidding Documents will be available beginning Monday, February 18, 2019 and may, by appointment only, be examined at, but not removed from, the District Maintenance Office of Northland Pioneer College, 102 N. Bidding documents, listed as “NPC AS# 19-04, Aspen Center HVAC Equipment Removal and Replacement,” will be available for downloading at http://public.constructionvaults.com beginning Monday, February 18, 2019. Addenda will only be issued through the same website. Addenda notifications will be made via email to plan holders who have registered an account for this project through the Public Construction Vault website. Hard copies of Bidding Documents may also be ordered through the website. Printing and shipping costs will be paid by the Bidder.
Each Bid submitted shall be sealed and plainly marked “Northland Pioneer College, Bid Identification No. AS# 19-04, Aspen Center HVAC Equipment Removal and Replacement.” All bids shall be mailed or delivered to the District Office address above.
Bids will be opened on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 2:15 P.M. local time at Northland Pioneer College District Office, 2251 E. Navajo Boulevard, Holbrook Arizona, in the presence of three persons, including one or more college officials.
The Owner will hold a Pre-Bid Conference at the Aspen Center, White Mountain Campus, 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs, Show Low, Arizona 85901 at 10:00 A.M. local time on Thursday, March 7, 2019, Aspen Center Rm# 110. Attendance at this Conference by prospective Bidders is mandatory. The purpose of this conference is to give prospective bidders an opportunity to examine the existing conditions. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to answer questions.
Requests for Information (RFI’s) shall be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org beginning Friday March 8, 2019. The final date for submitting RFI’s will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Responses will only be given to RFI’s submitted by those Bidders who attend the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference. Responses will not be given to RFI’s received before Friday March 8, 2019 or after Tuesday, March 19, 2019. An Addendum that includes the RFI responses will be issued through the Public Construction Vault website no later than Wednesday, March 27, 2019, and the Addendum notification will be made via email to plan holders who have registered an account for this project through the Public Construction Vault website.
A certified check, or cashier’s check or surety bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, must accompany each proposal, as a guarantee that the Contractor will enter into a contract to perform the proposal in accordance with the plans and specifications or as liquidated damages in the event of failure or refusal of the Contractor to enter into the contract. Checks or bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, and to the successful bidder upon the execution of a satisfactory bond and contract, as prescribed by Arizona Revised Statutes.
The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall, after receipt of the Notice of Intent to Award, furnish to the Owner a satisfactory performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the proposal, such bond not to be expressly limited as to time in which action may be instituted against the surety company for possible nonperformance of the Contractor. Bonds must be from a corporate surety company licensed to issue surety bonds in the State of Arizona. Individual sureties will not be accepted.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive or decline to waive irregularities in any bid, or to withhold the award for any reason it may determine, and also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of 30 days after the date of the opening thereof. No bidder may withdraw a bid during this 30-day period. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation by contacting the Owner at (928) 205-1163.
