Scholarships



Scholarship application procedures and requirements vary, but most require a Letter of Interest which explains your educational or career goals, and how the scholarship would help you to achieve them.
The Scholarship Letter of Interest Form links to a Microsoft Word .doc file can be used without change for NPC scholarships, and may help you organize your thoughts when applying for ones offered outside the college as well.

The Mountain Stars Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) is funding two special scholarships through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund (SBMEF).  The field of study is not specified and the scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 each. The dealine for submitting applications is March 28, 2008.

The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Arizona, offers scholarships in the field of Health Care Occupations or Nurses Training.
Nurses Scholarship:
These scholarships are awarded annually to not less than a second year student who is enrolled in an accredited institution in Arizona awaiting a degree as a Registered Nurse. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of Arizona for at least one year. Applications for the Past Presidents' Parley Nurses Scholarships are available from the NPC Financial Aid Office or academic advisors.
Health Care Occupations Scholarships:
Applicants must be enrolled/enrolling in an accredited tax-supported institution in Arizona which offers a certificate or degree program in Health Care Occupations (i.e.Nursing Assistant, Dental Assistant, LPN, Lab Technician, Physical Therapist, Inhalation Therapist, etc.). Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Arizona for at least one year. Applications for the Past Presidents' Parley Scholarship Assistance in Health Care Occupations Scholarships are available from the NPC Financial Aid Office or academic advisors.

NPC President's Scholar's Program

The NPC President's Scholars Program provides educational enrichment opportunities and scholarship incentives for academically advanced students. Students may obtain an application from the Office of the Vice President for Student Services, or by calling (928) 532-6129 or (800) 226-7845 extension 6129.






Tribal Programs


Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, and White Mountain Apache Tribe scholarship applications are available at the NPC Financial Aid Office, and at NPC Campus/Center Advising Offices. Applicants must apply directly with their Tribal Agency.


The Navajo Nation Scholarship has rolling deadlines of June 25th (fall term; part-time students have until August 31), November 25 (winter term; part-time students have until January 31), and April 25 (for spring term; part-time students have until May 31). Students must have a completed financial aid file before the Financial Aid Office can complete a Financial Need Analysis.
