The Career Services Office at Northland Pioneer College offers career assessment and information, employment skills preparation, and part-time and full-time job referrals for students and alumni.
CAREER ASSESSMENT AND INFORMATION
Career assessment for undecided and career transition-seeking students allows one to explore career options, interests, values and skills. HDE (Human Development) workshops, individual assessment, and career information are available to meet the student's needs.
EMPLOYMENT SKILLS PREPARATION
Resume writing preparation, and job search skills assistance are available via HDE workshops and individual consultation.
JOB REFERRALS
Job referrals for part-time, full-time, permanent and temporary positions are available for students and alumni of NPC. Opportunities exist with local, county and statewide employers. On-campus (Federal Work-Study) positions are also coordinated in cooperation with the Financial Aid Office. Weekly job openings can be accessed through the Job Line at extension 6042 at each campus location.
OTHER SERVICES
Annual, county-wide Job Fairs; Career Information Resources such as labor market information and career profiles are available in the NPC libraries, Career Services Office and the Internet.
