Northland Pioneer College has partnered with BankMobile, a financial services company, to provide choices for you to receive any financial aid and/or scholarship refunds. All students who apply for financial aid at NPC will receive a Refund Selection Kit from BankMobile. Receipt of this kit does not guarantee you’ll receive a financial aid refund. BankMobile provides faster refunds and multiple methods for receiving your financial aid and/or scholarship refund.

  • How are refunds from Northland Pioneer College
    delivered to students?

Refunds will be delivered via the option you selected from your Refund Selection Kit. Activate your refund preference and make your refund selection online by visiting Once your refund preference is selected, funds are sent from NPC to BankMobile who then disburses the refunds according to your selection. If you want the fastest access to your funds, simply choose to have your funds deposited directly into a BankMobile VIBE Account — a fully-functioning FDIC-insured checking account. With same business day deposit, a BankMobile VIBE Account is by far the fastest and easiest way to gain access to your refund money. Other available refund options are to have your money deposited to an already-established bank account and receive your money within 2 – 3 business days or to receive a paper check in the mail and receive your funds within 3 – 10 business days.

  • How do I get my Refund Selection Kit?

Northland Pioneer College financial aid refund students will receive a Refund Selection Kit from BankMobile in the mail at their primary address on file with NPC. Your Refund Selection Kit will arrive in a bright green envelope and will automatically be sent out if you complete your FAFSA and list NPC as a potential school to attend.

  • Why is it important to select a refund preference?

Selecting your preferred method to receive refunds from NPC ensures you’ll always receive your refunds in a timely manner. Once your refund preference is selected your choice will remain active for all financial aid disbursements until changed.

  • What if I already selected a refund preference?

If you have already selected your refund preference and would like to modify your choice simply return to and login to your account to reset your preference. If your refund was sent before you changed your selection the refund would have been processed according to your prior set preference. The change in refund preference will only affect refunds sent after the date of the refund change.

  • What exactly is a BankMobile VIBE Account?

  • What are the advantages of having my refunds deposited directly to my BankMobile VIBE Account?

Having your refund deposited to your BankMobile VIBE Account is the quickest way to gain access to your refund money. The BankMobile VIBE card is NOT a credit card, however you can use it for purchases at all participating merchants that accept Debit MasterCard, get cash at ATMs, pay bills and more. Parents and friends can easily send you money online via the Send Money feature, as well as you can set up a Direct Deposit feature to add money to your account also.

  • How will I know when my Financial Aid and/or Scholarship has been refunded?

BankMobile will send an email to the address you entered during the refund selection process to send notifications when a refund has been released to you. Additionally, you can sign up to receive text messages directly to your cell phone with Mobile Alerts. To view or change your notification settings you can access your information at

  • Can I have my refund deposited to another bank account?

Yes. You may have your refund deposited to the bank of your choice. In order to have your refund deposited to your bank, activate your refund preference by visiting During the activation process, select Electronic Deposit to Another Account for your refund preference and simply enter your established banking information.
