If you have a wedding or other special event coming up and would love to be able to dance with your daughter or that special someone, here's your chance to learn the proper dance steps.

Country Waltz is a basic, forward-moving 1-2-3 step dance with easy turns, much like a traditional waltz. The NPC Country Waltz class (reference HPE 099x) meets on four Monday evenings, from 7 to 8 p.m., August 27 through September 24, at NPC's Show Low – White Mountain Campus, 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs, in the Aspen Center, room 110. Enter the campus from the W. Whipple entrances. There is a $40 fee per person for the class. There will be no class on September 3, when the college is closed for the Labor Day holiday.

Venancio has been teaching dance classes for NPC since 1997. “I enjoy the different people I have had the pleasure to meet in my classes.” She recommends wearing loose-fitting clothes. “Come, dance, and learn something new,” she adds. Students should bring their own partner, if at all possible.

She will be offering additional dance classes in Snowflake later in the fall. Check out the full schedule of noncredit classes online at www.npc.edu/noncredit-classes.

Register for the Country Waltz class at least four days before the class starts to ensure it is not canceled due to insufficient enrollment. You can now register and pay for noncredit classes online. Need help registering? NPC campus offices have computers available to use for registering for classes.
