Reservations are required for the three-course catered meal and performance. Tickets are $24.50 each and can be reserved online or by calling the Performing Arts Center Box Office, 536-6250. Seating is limited to 52 couples.

Dear Liar,” a play by Jerome Kilty, is a masterful compendium of witty conversation with George Bernard Shaw and Mrs. Patrick Campbell in scenes of both confrontation and distancing. NPC’s Performing Arts Director Dr. Michael Solomonson will portray Shaw, with local playwright and actress Lisa Jayne as Mrs. Campbell. The duo previously appeared together in the NPC Valentine’s Dinner Theatre performance, Diaries of Adam & Eve, in 2007. “Dear Liar” will be directed by NPC student Ashley Nudson.

Dear Liar” is produced through special licensing with Samuel French, who describes the play’s storyline, “There is Shaw, in all his contradictions; as he adores the actress Mrs. Patrick Campbell (born Beatrice Stella Tanner), and persuades her to act in Pygmalion. He frets with her when she leaves for America, and yet he refuses permission to publish the letters that would save her from bankruptcy. Mrs. Campbell proves herself his equal – she publishes them anyway.”

For performance information, contact the Box Office or Dr. Michael Solomonson, 536-6217. The play does contain mild adult themes.
