Allied Health Program Coordinator

College and Area Information: Northland Pioneer College is located at the doorstep of the American Southwest where the high desert meets the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona. Nearby mountains and lakes provide numerous outdoor activities and the desert plateaus and mesas offer endless, beautiful landscapes. Northland Pioneer College offers classes at four campuses and six centers across northeastern Arizona which includes the areas encompassed by three Native American tribes. Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Director Nursing and Allied Health Programs. Office located on either the White Mountain Campus in Show Low, AZ or the Little Colorado Campus in Winslow, AZ.

Responsibilities:

This unique position requires allied health program development, evaluation and instruction which reaches out to rural underserved areas in northeastern Arizona. This grant-funded "Homegrown Healers" position focuses on building the capacity of the Allied Health program to retain and successfully prepare students from the local geographic area for certification in Arizona. Assignments may include curriculum research and development, mentoring and tutoring students in small group or individual instructional activities and instructing students in laboratory settings and providing administrative support for the Dean. Night and weekend work may be required; work assignment includes all District campuses and sites; location assignments other than District campuses and sites may be required.

Interviewees will be expected to present a fifteen-minute sample lesson on a topic of their choosing or from a list of topics provided by the committee.

Compensation: Initial salary as set by the District Governing Board is $50,000, plus liberal fringe benefits, for a full-time, 12-month contract.
