Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field and 2 years' related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.


  1. Assists in recruiting efforts; establish search files, advertisements, applicant correspondence, affirmative action and source data collection tracking.
  2. Responsible for keeping MYNPC and Human Resources information current and updated.
  3. Responsible for data input of HR information into the College Systems.
  4. Assist in creating and maintaining manual and automated personnel files for all college employees.
  5. Assists with college faculty qualification process.
  6. Assist with HR Department special projects and assignments.
  7. Prepare departmental correspondence such as memos and internal and external letters.
  8. Assist with clerical responsibilities including, but are not limited to: greeting foot traffic, documenting meetings/minutes, answering phones, filing, data entry, word processing, copying and faxing.
  9. Respond, as appropriate, to queries by employees, applicants and community.
  10. Process and maintain employee resignations, terminations, FMLA and Workers’ Comp.
  11. Track job openings and closings.
  12. Process all applications and request required documentation for contract position openings.
  13. Responsible for new hire reporting, checking benefits eligibility, and work eligibility (E-verify).
  14. Responsible for assignment of job and account numbers for employee payment.
  15. Responsible for verification of wage and salary amounts and help complete and file employment/salary inquiries from agencies (i.e., worker’s compensation, DES, mortgage companies, etc).
  16. Assist with data entry of and updating of records as needed.
  17. Assess training needs for new and existing employees to ensure that training and development opportunities are aligned with meeting employee development objectives, goals and mandated requirements.
  18. Identify and/or provide technical assistance in identifying relevant resources to support training needs and requirements.
  19. Maintain training and development resources, including online training programs, manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other development resources. Coordinate training facilities, equipment, supporting materials, and attendance
  20. Inform employees about training options.
  21. Map out training plans for individual employees, departments, and divisions.
  22. Maintain employee and institutional training records using Jenzabar/Moodle/MyNPC and SafeColleges.
  23. Manage training evaluations to ensure effectiveness and applicability to employee needs and institutional objectives initiating revised processes as needed. Collects, compiles, communicates and reports results of evaluation, attendance and training data.
  24. Supports the use of the online training management system or learning management system (LMS)
  25. Coordinate New Hire Orientation events.
  26. Manage requests for professional development pay increases.
  27. Assist employees with training, benefit and claim questions.
  28. Responsible for processing and distribution of daily human resource department mail.
  29. Perform related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Required License/ Certification

Valid Arizona driver's license.


Initialsalary range of $14.28 to $17.88 per hour depending on education andexperience.
