Reports to the Dean of Career and Technical Education through the Department Chair.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business Administration; Extensive demonstrated knowledge of business curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years teaching experience, experience in teaching online courses; three years business/industry experience; familiarity with community college learning environments; willingness to travel to sites throughout the district.


  1. Positively supports and promotes college’s governing board, administrators, faculty, staff, students and communities.
  2. Teach courses within the business curriculum.
  3. Teach a minimum of 30 credit hours/loads per academic year, at varied times, and varied locations. Primarily at Silver Creek Campus.
  4. Participate in planning, development and evaluation of curriculum and student success.
  5. Develop and maintain outreach and cooperative activities.
  6. Participate in the planning, coordination and organization of courses and internship experiences.
  7. Order, maintain and inventory supplies and equipment.
  8. Provide input for budgets.
  9. Stay current in the subject matter areas and in the techniques of effective instruction and industry credentials.
  10. Participate in college department and division activities, meetings, advisory groups, program review, and serve on college committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program.
  11. Assist with course articulation issues, marketing and workshops.
  12. Maintain regular office hours and meet all instructional deadlines.
  13. Assess student learning for academic achievements.
  14. Assist in timely scheduling of classes, grade submissions and all activities to meet registrar deadlines.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Initial salary range of $45,535 to $54,926 depending on education and experience.
