CIS 199 • Introduction to Educational Technology • 3 credits

This full semester course is designed to anchor the development of technology literacy for educators. The course modules include topics on e-learning, instructional design, distance education, NETS standards, and educational technology foundations. Students will develop an understanding of and gain working skills in educational technology and document their knowledge and skills using a digital portfolio.

Dr. Wei Ma
Faculty in Educational Technology
  • Master's Degree in Telecommunications
  • Ph.D. in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Educational Technology from Ball State University, Muncie, IN.
  • Dr. Ma has been providing technical and pedagogical support and training for K-16 educators for five years.
  • His expertise is in general educational computing, classroom technology integration and distance learning.
