The Nursing & Allied Health Division at NPC has incorporated our nursing, emergency medical services and allied health departments under a single banner to encourage you to explore the variety of career training opportunities available at NPC in both direct and support health care services.
The Northland Pioneer College Nursing program has served Navajo and Apache Counties since 1992. Our expert and caring faculty members utilize exciting, educational methods to present up-to-date nursing knowledge in ways students will understand and retain.
NPC also has an excellent Emergency Medical Services program where you can train to become a paramedic or EMT. Our faculty members are highly qualified emergency services field veterans who bring their knowledge and experience to the classroom. Their goal is your success.
Three career options are currently offered by our Allied Health Department: Pharmacy Technician studies, Phlebotomy studies and our Medical Assistant program. Enjoy job security as a trained and qualified support worker in the fast growing health care field.

Faculty Spotlight
Northland Pioneer nursing faculty member Theresa Artz-Howard enjoyed special honors this summer when she presented a paper she'd written at the 11th Annual National/International Evidence-Based Practice Conference at Arizona State University June 10 & 11th in Phoenix. Her paper synthesizes evidence in the medical literature showing the positive outcomes of human patient simulation training in undergraduate nursing programs.
