The Learning Cornerstone (TLC) offers

• developmental, adult basic education (ABE, GED, ELAA) and literacy classes.
  
  
• College Preparation classes in the areas of reading, writing and math along with study skills classes.
  
  
• Math classes, ranging from the most basic to beginning algebra, preparing you for success.
  
  
• Writing classes, along with spelling classes to help you in your everyday or academic writing.
  
  
• Reading classes to help improve your skills.
  
  
• Courses in GED and Pre-GED: We offer classes to prepare you for the GED; we also have a GED orientation class to see if you need to study in order to be successful on the test, or if you are ready for the real thing.
  
  
• We even offer classes to help those who are unable to read and write yet.
  
  

Many classes in The Learning Cornerstone are open entry. Students may begin classes in the TLC at almost any time during the semester. However, students must complete each course by the end of the current term. Satisfactory placement is required for all TLC courses; check with an academic advisor or the TLC staff about placement.

Many TLC courses are eligible for the PELL Grant, and most qualify for the ABE Scholarship. Assistance may also be available from other sources, including: tribal agencies, Local Workforce Investment Boards (WIA), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
