RECORDS AND REGISTRATION

Records & Registration Office personnel (phone extension 7660) are responsible for final grade rosters. After grades are posted, there is one mass mailing of grades to all registered students (excluding those on financial hold). Any changes to existing grades are initiated by the instructor through their Division Dean/Director who then forwards the change to the Records & Registration Office. Once received and updated, the student is mailed a copy of the grade change and a semester transcript showing the change.

Any student who has attended an accredited college may request an official transcript be sent from that college to the NPC Records & Registration Office. The student must then request an evaluation of credits. Once the evaluation of transfer credit is completed, the accepted transfer credits are posted to the student's transcript and can be used toward an NPC degree/certificate where applicable.

Students pursing a certificate or degree need to declare a degree plan with an academic advisor. The declared degree plan is then posted to the student's file. When the student is ready to graduate, he/she submits an application for graduation and applicable non-refundable fee. After graduation requirements have been met, an official transcript is mailed to the student showing the degree earned. Diplomas are mailed in August.

Official NPC academic transcripts are available to students for $5.00 per copy, including those which are mailed or faxed. Each copy contains all classes taken at NPC. Transcripts may be ordered by completing a Transcript Request Form, by telephone, or by letter of request. Students may receive their own copies by written request only, with dated signature. For transcripts being sent to other institutions via telephone requests, payment must be made by VISA or MasterCard. No transcript will be released if payment has not been made or if the student is on financial hold.

Unofficial transcripts are available, at no cost, through academic advisors or the Records & Registration Office. Unofficial transcripts can only be released to the student in person; they are not faxed or mailed and cannot be released to a third party.
