Start your bachelor's degree at NPC!

NPC Graduates

  • Save lots of money.

  • Receive more personal attention.

  • Spend less while deciding on your major.

  • Choose from 4 degrees guaranteed to transfer

Northland Pioneer College offers four associate degrees that are guaranteed to transfer to any of Arizona's three state universities:  Arizona State University, University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. These degrees are:

  1. Associate of Arts (AA)
  2. Associate of Arts in Elementary Education (AAEE)
  3. Associate of Business (AB)
  4. Associate of Science (AS)

The general education component of each of these four degrees fulfills all the requirements of what is known as the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). When completed, the AGEC will transfer to any of the three public Arizona state universities as a block without loss of credit. The electives for these degrees will also transfer if they are listed in the
Arizona Course Applicability System
(now called AZ Transfer).

Students who wish to transfer to other colleges or universities other than the three public Arizona state universities should contact the transfer counselors at the institution they plan to attend. Each NPC course a student plans to take needs verification that it meets that institution's requirements. This process should be done each semester.

Why pay more for the same thing?

All bachelor's degrees require you to fulfill basic general education requirements before starting on your major.
Complete these requirements at Northland Pioneer College and save thousands of dollars!

  • Here at NPC, we know your name; you're not just a number.

Six tips for transfer success:

1. NPC Academic Adviser

It can sometimes be difficult to determine which classes you should take if you intend to eventually transfer from NPC to another institution. To ensure that you get the most up-to-date information on how to transfer to a university, be sure to meet with your NPC adviser each semester.

2. AZ Transfer Website

Valuable information about the university transfer process can be found at the Arizona Transfer website. This information will help get you started. But to be sure you are selecting the right courses, ALWAYS speak to an NPC academic advisor.

3. Guarantee

Course articulation agreements between NPC and the three Arizona state universities (NAU, ASU, and UofA) offer students guaranteed course transfer IF students follow the transfer guidelines. An NPC Academic Adviser can determine the appropriate NPC degree and courses for you to complete so that you meet all the transfer requirements including electives.

4. AZ Course Applicability System (Now AZTransfer.com)

The Arizona Course Applicability System (CAS) serves as an online resource for transfer students to help determine which NPC courses meet the transfer requirements. NPC advisors can show you how to use CAS system, but students should never rely on this system only since requirements can change. Always meet with an NPC academic adviser each semester to ensure you are taking the correct courses.

5. AZ State University Admission Requirements

Each of the three Arizona state universities has its own criteria and requirements for admissions such as grade point average and application deadlines. Find out more about them here :

6. Non-Arizona State Universities

NPC has course articulation agreements with some area (non-state) colleges and universities. Students should ask an NPC advisor for more information if they are thinking of  transferring to a non-state institution after graduation from NPC.
