| Required Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field and experience developing programs and services. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Master's degree. |
| Responsibilities: |
- Positively supports and promotes college, governing board, administrators, faculty, staff, students and communities.
- Work with area businesses and agencies to identify ways in which the college can meet employment related training needs.
- Coordinate special contract learning relationships with businesses, agencies and tribal organizations.
- Expand and coordinate training programs and services on the Navajo, Hopi, and White Mountain Apache reservations.
- Coordinate Real Estate Contracts, Continuing Education, and Department.
- Assist Career and Technical Education Dean to coordinate economic and workforce development activities.
- Assist the Dean of Career and Technical Education and Small Business Development Center to direct outreach and cooperative activities with businesses/industries and communities.
- Develop measurable performance objectives for expected training program outcomes and provide standards by which performance can be evaluated.
- Identify, recruit and recommend adjunct faculty for special training projects and programs.
- Provide Human Resources Department and Records Office with adjunct faculty information.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of syllabi and course development to meet special training needs for area businesses and agencies.
- Assist Business Office, Records Office and Human Resources Department in contracting and working with adjunct faculty and regular faculty to assure that grades, certification, contracts, etc. are being properly processed in a timely basis.
- Disseminate information regarding SBDC services and program offerings in a variety of formats including public presentations, marketing materials, and participation in partner organizations; coordinate workshops and seminars providing information to the public that will lead to successful outcomes.
- Assess the needs of small businesses and assist with small business technical assistance provided by the SBDC; either directly or referred to others, leading to economic impact for the SBDC.*
- Utilize the SBDC MIS system to record hours of productive time for all counseling’s, trainings, and administrative functions, leading to economic impact forclients.*
*Economic impact tracked by NPC and the SBDC consists of monitoring for new or retained jobs, increased revenues, capital acquisition, startups and other factors, subject to change.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

| Skills Required: |
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Sound knowledge of college systems, experience in training and inter-personal relations.
- Knowledge of:
- current practices in community college training programs;
- related activities;
- curriculum development.
- Ability to:
- assess training needs and develop responsive classes and/or programs,
- communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- establish cooperative working relationships/teams and work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment;
- knowledge of computer software applications for small business including Microsoft Office.

| Physical Requirements: |
- Ability to perform the tasks with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Sufficient physical dexterity to use a telephone, computer keyboard and other electronic equipment.
- Critical sensory requirements include general vision (corrected to 20/20), hear and listen in the normal range (corrected), and speak and give general directs clearly.

| Compensation: |
Initial salary range for this position is $41,864 to $45,000, depending on prior experience and education. |
