12 month Faculty - Department of Corrections
Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Dean of Career and Technical Education through the Department Chair
Location: Office located at the Arizona Department of Corrections, Winslow, Arizona.
General Statement of Responsibilities: Teach classes in Administrative Information Systems.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Administrative Information Systems, or related field.
  • A minimum of three years business or industry experience.
  • A minimum of two years teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Five years teaching experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses within the administrative information systems curriculum.
  • Teach at varied times at the Winslow DOC Complex.
  • Participate in planning, development and evaluation of curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain outreach and cooperative activities.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination and organization of courses and internship experiences.
  • Order, maintain and inventory supplies and equipment.
  • Provide input for budgets.
  • Stay current in the subject matter areas and in the techniques of effective instruction.
  • Participate in department and division activities, school meetings, DOC meetings, advisory groups, program review, and serve or college committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program.
  • Assist with course articulation issues, marketing and workshops.
  • Maintain regular office hours.
  • Assess student learning.
  • Assist in timely scheduling of classes to meet registrar deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Critical sensory requirements include vision (corrected to 20/20),hear or listen in the normal range (corrected) and speak and give directions clearly.
Required License/ Certification:
  • Valid Arizona driver's license.
Compensation: Initial annual salary of $45,204 
Closing Date: Extended to October 15, 2010.
